“The dispossessed Path”
This exhibition depicts the difficulties that the first waves of Syrian refugees faced when escaping the horror of the war in their country. They left their homeland in the hope of starting a new life in Europe. The report follows thousands of people that travelled from Macedonia to Serbia and Hungry. The latter, however, closed its borders, refused to offer them asylum and forced them to search for a new route that finally took them to Croatia. These are stories of desperate people whose expectations of the ‘good old’ and apparently friendly Europe weren’t fulfilled.
