The lack of work opportunities, imposed social marginalisation, discrimination and deeply rooted ancestral culture are the reasons for the diaspora of the Rumanian people. Four projects carried out since 2009 in Barcelona, France and Rumania follow the members of Ioana’s family spread all over Europe either in exile or in Rumania, and show the difficulties of so many Rumanian families that have to embark on this journey in order to live a better life.
