Thanks to the tasks of recuperating and cataloguing carried out by the Municipal Archive of Palafrugell and the generosity of Maria Agustí, Joan Regí’s widow, the ‘Biennal’ can show the public this unknown photographic material with a particularly local focus as well as with an aesthetic and documentary willingness which make it incredibly interesting.

His patient and curious look and knowledge of technical possibilities to obtain the image acquired in self-study make him stand out primarily as a privileged observer of life, of the events and traditions of our town and the closest surroundings.
