Ten years ago the Biennal de Fotografia Xavier Miserachs was created by a group of photographers and friends to pay tribute to the late photographer Xavier Miserachs. Since then, the Biennal has evolved to become one of the country’s key photographic events, with a strong documentary feel.
This year, being the tenth anniversary of Xavier Miserachs death, we dedicate the event to his memory with a special exhibition of his work, which will allow us to accompany him on his long journey via a series of critical and affectionate images taken by him throughout his career. In addition, we also have a number of other exhibitions from photographers of different generations, who all hold a common objective to document through their work a range of diverse realities. In short, an extensive selection of images to enjoy and remember, learn and think about.
Finally, we would like to thank all the people, organizations and institutions, who through their collaboration and effort have made possible after ten years the continuation of the Biennal de Fotografia Xavier Miserachs story.
